Prayer Request for November 2015

Written by jorupacs on . Posted in prayer request

Praise & Thanksgiving:

  1. Grace Ocampo was accepted into membership in September while Maiah Coquia, Erick Budin and Bebeth Gador in October.
  2. We also looking forward to the baptism of Bernadette Delector and her addition to the membership this November. Bernadette is one of the girls from our CCM Homes.
  3. During October CCM held a series of meetings for Parents and children on their roles in the family. This was also an opportunity to bring the truths of the gospel to them.
  4. The Annual Camp for the Homeless has just concluded and we give thanks to God for those who gathered and the opportunities to witness and to minister the word of God to those who gathered.
  5. We continue to give thanks to the Lord for His goodness to us as a church and the peace and loving unity that we experience. May the Lord be praised.

Prayer Requests:

  1. That those who attended the Camp for the Homeless will have been blessed by the ministry and that the Lord will bring many of them to true salvation in the Lord Jesus Christ.
  2. Please continue to pray for our regular meetings among the homeless – each Thursday night when up to 100 attend and also the Monday night Bible Study when about 40 attend. Pray for conversions.
  3. Please also pray for peace and safety for our volunteers and those from the streets. There have been some untoward incidents recently such as drunken men trying to enter the meetings and the terrible incident of the stabbing of one of the homeless ladies when she alighted from the bus after the camp. The Devil is always active and trying to destroy such witness for Christ.
  4. Grace Ministerial Academy will, in the mercy of God, begin its second semester on the 10th Nov. Please pray for the lecturers and students. May there also be some new enrollees. May all be done to the glory of God in the preparation of men for the ministry. Particularly pray for Pastor Gilbert MacAdam as he returns to teaching this semester following his break in UK. Continue to pray for good health for our Principal Noel Espinosa.
  5. We are still in need of additional staff particularly in our new Boys’ Home. This hopefully will be occupied this month if the occupancy permit is granted.
  6. Gemma Gustillo— Gemma at 67 years old is a faithful member but her illness has hampered her from attending church. She has a severe nerve problem affecting her back. The doctor advised her to undergo an operation. Please pray for wisdom and financial provision for this costly medical operation
  7. Edith Columbino—has stage 3D breast cancer. She is about 56 years old. Please pray for her and that she may accept the Lord’s will and know His strength and grace. Also please pray for her husband Pat.
  8. The church through its CCM Relief Arm is seeking to help victims of Typhoon Lando in Pampanga in co-operation with the Reformed Baptist Churches in those areas. May the Lord bless the compassionate relief work but also give opportunity to preach the gospel to those in physical but also desperate spiritual need.
  9. The Lord willing the mission work in Tacloban plans to conduct  house-to-house visitation to invite people to hold a Bible Study. Please also pray for their existing Bible Studies that they may yield fruit in conversions.
  10. We are hoping to see the outreach in Morong, Rizal covenanted as a church before the end of the year, with Erwin Cadalin as ordained Pastor. Please pray for the preparations and the Lord’s timing of this step.
  11. Continue to pray for our need to extend our Worship Hall. Plans are being drawn up and we shall then know the estimated cost. Please pray for the provision of the money we shall need.

  2. The Community Christmas Programme of CCM with 420 participants from the communities we serve in Cubao took place at the end of November. It is always a time enjoyed by all. Please pray that the message preached by Pastor Jorge Gumop-as will be blessed by God to the salvation of those who attended.
  3. We have a number of applicants to be accepted into membership on the 7th as well as others to give their testimonies. May it please the Lord to save many more in our midst.
  4. Give thanks with us for the abundance of blessings of our gracious God through this past year. We have been greatly encouraged by the faithful preaching of the the Word of God and the numerous additions to our membership.

Prayer Requests:

  1. This time of the year there are many parties. Pray that in the midst of the fun and enjoyment that we shall keep the Lord always before us and live lives worthy of Him.
  2. At the same time there are many opportunities to preach to the many that gather for our various activities. May it please the Lord to bring people unto salvation.
  3. We have loved ones of a number of our members who are sick, some facing operations. Please pray for healing, comfort, guidance and the financial help that is often needed.
  4. We would like to see the planting of an RB Church in Tacloban. The Abuyog Reformed Baptist Church to the south will be following up our Relief Distribution with Bible Studies in a number of areas. However we need to be able to support someone in Tacloban itself to lead in the planting of a church there. Finances are one of the greatest needs.
  5. The Lord willing we hope to begin construction on the new CCM Boys’ Home in January. Currently we are following up our need to obtain the Building Permit. We need this before the end of the year in order not to have to begin the process all over again in the New Year. Please pray for Reddy Gonzales who is responsible for this task.
  6. We constantly have visitors to our services. Please pray that those resident in Manila will continue with us and may eventually be added to the church. We also have a number of people who have attended for years but have never committed themselves to church membership. Please pray for conviction.
  7. Pastor Mon has been conducting a membership class on a Lord’s Day morning. May this result in more coming forward for membership.
  8. Our Worship Hall is comfortably full on a Lord’s Day morning and we see the need to expand our building to accommodate more people. Please pray that the large finances needed for such a project will be provided.
  9. Due to a lack of hymn books we are in the process of installing a projector to project the hymns on a screen. May this be a help to all and not be a hindrance to worship.
  10. The Lord willing we hope to see the work in Morong, Rizal constituted as a church sometime in the New Year. A major need is the finances to support a pastor. We hope to see Bro. Erwin Cadalin ordained as Pastor there.
  11. We are still responsible for the oversight of the work in Tondo. Pastor Larry Malabayabas believes the Lord is now calling him to plant a church in his home town in Marinduque. Pray for guidance and wisdom for him.  Some of our students in GMA are therefore now preaching regularly in Tondo.
  12. Pray for the students in GMA over the year end break and particularly for Pastor Noel that he will be able to get some rest and relaxation.
  13. We pray all will have a blessed time with loved ones and friends at this time of the year. However let us remember that above all we are to bear a good testimony for the Saviour – the Lord Jesus Christ.

May you have a blessed Christmas and a fruitful New Year

Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father. Col 3:17

Prayer Request

Praise & Thanksgiving:

  1. We thank the Lord for the celebration of our 34th year as a church last Aug 3. Pastor Alex Bartolome was our preacher, preaching from Joshua 1:9 that we are to be strong and courageous for the Lord is with us. May the Lord help us to fulfill His Word. This thanksgiving service was followed by a sumptuous meal with lechon being the main course.
  2. Three young people Jose, Hazel and Monique were baptized on the first Lord’s Day of August and added to the church.
  3. Three more then gave their testimony on that first Lord’s day for membership in September. One of these Shane will be added, the Lord willing, by baptism the other two by transfer. There are others also considering applying for membership. We give all the glory to God. One of the boys in our Homes is also asking for baptism.
  4. We have had 8 overseas visitors with us for the past month. It sometimes meant more work particularly for the CCM staff but it was a joy to have them. They worked hard and made a real contribution in their love for Christ and service for Him. We thank the Lord for the fellowship we have in this way with numerous churches in other countries. Pray also that the experiences of these young people will mean a real increase in concern for missions.
  5. We give thanks for Edgar and Ginia the new House-parents in our CCM Boys’ Home and also for Yollyjim our new Tutor for Homes. Please pray they will quickly settle into their responsibilities and be used by God in the lives of the children.
  6. We give thanks for the successful CCM Staff Retreat at Bakasunan Resort in Tanay. The weather was good and the resort was excellent. Matters affecting the future of CCM were also discussed. May we be given much wisdom in implementing them.

Prayer Requests:

  1. We have a number of ladies expecting to give birth this month and in the next few months to their first child. Please pray for safe deliveries of their babies and for the Lord’s gracious enabling to these new parents to fulfill their God given responsibilities.
  2. Construction work begins this month on our new stairs to our Worship Hall. Please pray for the workers and for Architect Arnel, our member as he oversees the project. We are also planning to put in an elevator for the use of the disabled and the aged. Please pray for the necessary funds to complete these projects.
  3. Planning is in progress for the 2014 Pastors’ Conference. Pray for our visiting preachers from the UK and USA. Also for the books that are currently being purchased for the conference that they may arrive safely.
  4. We are still in need of Social Workers in CCM. This need is very critical please make it a matter of urgent prayer that we shall find the right people to fulfill the vacant positions. Pray also for the present staff who are currently handling a double load.
  5. Men’s Meeting on Aug 31 in Montalban to be followed by tract distribution and an evangelistic meeting. Pray this will be blessed by the Lord in conversions and regular contacts for our ongoing outreach in that area. Pray that in the will of the Lord eventually a church may be established there.
  6. Some of our members have been ill recently and have been admitted to hospital for a few days.. Please pray for good heath during these wet months when disease is rife. Particularly pray that our children will be kept well.
